dh insight has been commissioned by the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland NHS (LLR) to conduct an independent mandate of their GPs’ practices regarding the preferred geographical shape and size of GP consortia.

Our recent research with careers advisers raised many issues, one of which concerned how young people will judge the quality of a course. Will it be purely financial – ‘if a course costs £9K per year it must be good’? Or graduate employment statistics? The results of the National Student Survey? Or the number of contact hours per week? The list of potential factors is long and will differ from subject area to subject area and from individual applicant to individual applicant. What is clear is that potential students will need to be able to access such information easily, in bite-sized chunks and in a format that will enable them to make comparisons with competitor institutions.

Year 12 students will be starting to research possible courses and universities by Easter; will your communication materials be ready and up to the job?
